The gum gradually closes; a check-up is scheduled.

Bone healing
The bone rebuilds in depth. An implant can then be considered if needed.

The procedure is done under local anaesthesia and is painless. Discomfort may persist for a few days, controlled by the prescribed painkillers.
How long does healing take?
Gum healing takes one to two weeks; complete bone healing can take several months.
Should all 4 wisdom teeth be removed at once?
It depends on their position and the indication. Some situations allow removal together, others require several sessions.
Should an extracted tooth be replaced?
For a wisdom tooth, no. For another tooth, an implant or bridge is often recommended to prevent the neighbouring teeth from shifting.
